Lynette Richards is a highly trained expert in conservation and restoration of historic and heritage stained glass. Twenty years ago, she completed a 3-year Stained Glass apprenticeship with a European trained Master Glazier wherein she learned all traditional and contemporary techniques used in the 1000-year history of architectural stained glass. Lynette is proud to have been one of 3 restorers who, in 2013, restored every window of the Basilica of Our Lady Immaculate, Guelph Ontario, now a National Historic Site.
Lynette also creates original designed stained glass for clients.
Lynette is a Craft NS Master Artisan, who participates in their Summer and Winter Shows and exhibits Fine Art Stained Glass in galleries.
She is a member of Visual Arts NS, CARFAC, Glass Artists’ Association of Canada, and the Peggy’s Cove Area Festival of the Arts. She founded the London Ontario Stained Glass Guild and is a Director of the SS Atlantic Heritage Park and Museum.
Lynette accepts commissions and teaches in her studio in Terence Bay NS. Her small works are available for purchase from Rose Window Stained Glass, Made in the Maritimes, and the Designer Craft Shop.
